After six years of training the present Lowham U14's squad, Karl Robinson  has decided to enjoy the game from the sidelines.  Karls energy and enthusiasm will be missed but the good news he will still be around to support the team for the games as a parent.

Jon Checkly has agreed to take over as coach for the training and the matches. Jon has a wealth of experience training as a football coach and I'm sure he'll do an excellent job.

 Nottinghamshire FA have three new referees courses for summer 2011 that are available now to book onto online, at;

 Rainworth (3, 4, 5 August)

NewarkFlowserve (17, 18, 19 August)

ArnoldTown(24, 25, 26 August)

The initial part of the course is three days in length, but there will be additional training required to complete the qualification which will be notified on the course.

 The courses are practical-based refereeing skills, with the qualification only becoming complete following additional training referee six 11-a-side fixtures. These fixtures will of course receive a match fee, which will almost cover the cost of the course!

Family Sponsored Walk & Balloon Race - Easter Monday 25 Apr

Please support this event to raise funds for a new Community Building at the Southwell Road Sports Ground (Magna Meadows). We can all look forward to refreshments whilst watching games, and additional income for our teams!

Starting at 13:00 at Lowdham WI Hall (opposite the Magna Charta Inn), and also finishing there, the walk is approx 5 miles. Shorter pushchair friendly alternatives are also available.

Entry is free for those who raise more than £10 in sponsorship, or £2.50 per person.

Refreshments available and discounts on food at the Magna Charta (order before 18:30).

There will be a Balloon Race Finale in the Magna Charta Garden at 16:30 - can yours go the furthest.
